The wife and I left saturdy the 14th in the early a.m. Hours. Not being in any rush the first stopover was in west Virginia. The second day we stopped in Georgia with beautiful weather. With a few changes we headed down to Florida. Spent two nights there and met chrisj and his lovely better half. After having lunch with them we headed for new Orleans. About an hour out we hit some pretty heavy rain for the remaining two hours. With the wiring for the trailer hitch getting wet the fuse for the trailer kept blowing. The wife stayed right behind me as we made a break for new Orleans and the hotel in the French quarter on Toulouse street. Went to cafe du mond and walked around the city. Even managed to let the wife talk me into going to a museum about new Orleans and hurricane catrina. Was fascinating. The last night there we had dinner with pouch and his lovely wife. That brings me to today's ride. We headed out early before the rain hit new Orleans and headed west. Made it into Texas and headed north. Finally hit Idabel Oklahoma and a hotel where we stopped for the day. Leaving tomorrow saturday for the final ride into ground zero. Decided to make this trip to inzane one to remember. And it definately has been. There is nothing like riding around this country to make one truly appreciate it that much more. Look forward to seeing all at ground zero. Safe riding for all.
