On my 98 std....I push the red kill button on the handle bar...nothing happens...seems dead...I use to key to shut off but would like my kill button to work....looking for ideas where to look..thanks...craig

Spray some WD-40 in and around the red switch and then function it many many times......that should fix it

You have very few posts. Is your Valk new to you. It's possible the PO bypassed it. Open the switch housing and see if the wires are jumped.

you are correct...this valkyrie is new to me...not sure what you mean by  "jumped" but I will try the wd40...thanks.

No way I'd spray WD40 in there. Radio Shack contact cleaner is better suited for the job.

Probably better, but WD-40 fixed mine right after I got the bike and never had a problem for years after that........theres always something better, but WD-40 and duct tape fixes almost anything Cheesy

I 2nd this. Some people don't like the kill switch functioning and jump (or disengage it) and you may need to reconnect the wiring for it to work.
