Knock back that early cup o' Jo and hit the road, cross the city with no traffic, feel the brisk morning air, have plenty of time to dillydally at every interesting turnout and still be home before the afternoon traffic rush.
Got an early start for a trip thru Tygh Valley, the high desert is a big contrast to the Cascades and the coast and is a nice change of pace.

my dream cycle ride would be from Fresno Calif, heading up to King Canyon on my Valk, just to see the Great Sequoia trees, then down along hwy 1 on the western shore to San Diego, over to Phoenix to visit my Parents (and to piss my mother off cause she doesn't like motorcycles) then up to the Grand Canyon, up to Yellow Stone, over to Sturgous, to piss off the harley guys, then i guess back home....

Most welcome, some great riding in CO alright, pretty nice riding in your neck of the woods, too.

I'm guessing you have the carbs set up for high altitude riding?
If not,how does it do in the high altitude and what fuel are you using?
Nice photos!

I'm running stock setings, but most local riding elevations are pretty low, even the passes in OR and WA are less than 5000 ft.  But I have travelled a lot in Mont, Wyo and CO and the bike runs fine at high altitude, always buy regular gas.

Not the person in question, but mine are set up for basically sea level (Are whopping 500 foot elevation here in Dallas), and she had no problem pulling HARD even at the top of Mt. Evans in Colorado, 14,264 feet as I recall...
