I rolled in about 7:30, tired, but safe.  After riding the Pig Trail south to I-40 in nice morning temps, the afternoon got pretty hot.  About 50 miles from home, a detour was required to miss an isolated, but heavy storm.  Delayed arrival but sure did lower the temp.

Great to see everyone.  Can't wait 'til next time.   cooldude

Good seeing you. We had to stop a bit early. We were following a storm for a while, and gave up and got a hotel In Columbus Ms. We have another 11-12 hours to go.

Got in last night (Thursday) 10:30PM. My mind was wandering toward Western Texas riding with Keepinon (Dennis Green), then the high winds and the heat came up and  my mind suddenly shifted South, Keepinon and I parted at the Indian Nation Turnpike. I spent the night with my son and grandson, after visiting my brother for a while. Visited my younger brother in Waco and headed home about 4:30 Thursday evening. Enjoyed my first Inzane to the hilt, met a lot of new faces. One other thing, the Metro-Mess is Hot.
Thanks to Early Bird for the hospitality at Ground Zero, keeping me cool and comfortable. Good man, he is.

Even though I'm a wimp and driving a car, I didn't make it home tonight.  I'm still tired from the festivities, so after hitting a mega traffic jam in Dallas -- rush hour, weekend, and a wreck, I pulled over in Corsicana.  200 miles from home, it'll be an easy drive tomorrow

Got home at 9:30 pm! After I helped Disco and Valkpilot wait out the thunder storm the temp dropped to  78. I was really looking forward to the cool ride home, however it didn't take long and it got back up to 95 degrees.

It was really good seeing everybody and meeting new friends. See ya next year! ~TJ

BTW Enjoyed selling raffle tickets by the wing span with Flamingo Babe. Thank you all!

Early Bird in the house about 12:20 today.

Super sweet seeing everyone again and meeting new friends and family.

Ready for next ride-in somewhere.  Someday hope to make a Fall Color Ride and would also love to do a Covered Bridge Ride, or anything else someone can think up.

It is so nice to get to spend a little time with folks you have only just met and be able to get to know them a lot better.  I had this opportunity this week and enjoyed every minute of it.

THANK YOU, VRCC STAFF!

tj and mario are in the house, got in today sat., about 2:00. rode 390 miles yesterday and stayed over in longview, tx.  nice, cool and patchy fog friday morning, spotted a whitetail running along side us on rte. 23.  it stayed in it's lane. taking 270/259 down, on the oklahoma side was a blast to ride. tj wanted to go back and do it again. it did get a bit toasty in the afternoon but we had pretty good cloud cover. not so today, bright sunshine but no rain and a coolfront at 94 degrees.   Wink
it was great seeing and meeting members at our first inzane.
thank you Lord for safe travel.

We finally made it home. Rough day. This morning coming through Mississippi and Alabama was cool and beautiful, when we hit Dothan, Al It was brutally hot! I reset the GPS from the scenic ride mode, to the "get my ass home ASAP!" mode. Then came the rain. We dodged a big one in Lakeland, Fl and another in Gainsville, FL. Then it was haul ass to home.
Big wreck on the north bound side of 75 about a dozen cars and a Oakley tanker laying on it's side across all north bound lanes.

Good to be home. Well toasted, but home.
Great seeing everyone!
