My I/S OE w/s has a lot of fine scratches from cleaning.  I have to look over the w/s for clear visibility, which I actually prefer but visibility through the w/s is bad.  After reading a recent post I am ordering a Clearview but until then am thinking of trying to polish the w/s to try to remove scratches and improve visibility.  Was wondering if anyone has tried this and how did it work out?  Is it worthwhile?  Anyone???

I paid like $30 for a guy to polish my first Standard's w/s a few years ago.  It came out looking like new.  I asked him what he did and he basically used some windshield polish with a rotary polisher.

I had very good results on my IS windshield with Glare Spyder.  It is a bit expensive but does a fine job.  I followed it up with Glare polish.  I actually bought the products for the painted surfaces (all black) and decided to try it on the windshield with pleasing results.  I did make sure (as suggested by many reviewers) to follow the instructions on the bottle.  Here is one of the reviews...

Thanks for the info.  I am going to try an out of the way spot to see how it goes.  From Valkyriemc's post of All American Products I have previously found that their recommendation of using a wet cloth is the best way(for me) as the FIRST step to removing bugs, etc for my entire bike.  I had counted on wax to remove bugs from paint but found out there were still little fine spots of bug residue waxed into the paint.  Now I soak all areas (w/s included) with a wet rag and the stuff just wipes off---then the waxing starts.  Really made a difference in appearance of the entire bike.

Anyway, thanks to all for the input.
