Seems I remember reading aboutusing interstate damper set instead of the standards because they were better. Was that the case or am I imagining things and what was the reasoning agaain please?? Thanks, Dave

It's about what you will receive in the return mail.

The Interstate dampers come complete while the standards come without the metal inserts (tubes) that are within the dampers.

I guess you could reuse those inserts if you want.

Just pulled the plate and the dampers in there seem pretty snug. It's the metal sleeve/insert that is loose within the damper. Now I'm wondering if they need to be replaced or not ??

Hey Dave, I just replaced my set last tire change, the IS dampners have the "bushings" that the final drive hubs lugs fit into are molded into the dampner, where the standard or pre 2000 I believe, are just pressed into the dampner, my want to confirm with Dragon.

You can run with them like that.

Just a little more slop in the drive line.

Replacing them will eliminate the slop caused by the looseness in the old ones.

You may, or may not experience (feel) any difference replacing them.

Having an I/S it's what i ordered and i changed mine out just before Inzane 12. Noticeable difference in all aspects of the accel decel ride and just all around better. Best way i can describe it is-the right hand is more closely connected to the rear wheel.  cooldude Definitely a twist and go thing!!  coolsmiley RIDE SAFE.
