I seen these on a VTX 1800 at the dealership the other day. Does anyone know if they'll fit my 98' Standard? The fork assemblies look pretty much the same.

I don't know if they will fit . I put a set of Memphis Shades lowers on my standard and created such a bad helmet buffeting I couldn't see at high speed . They had "no adjustment " , it doesn't look like the ones you are showing have any type of adjustment . If they are for show they look great but for function I don't know .

Measure the distance between the mounting holes and compare to the bolts under your triple trees. Let us know what you find out!

Have had homemade lowers on Memphis Shades fork clamps on 2 different valks. This gives you an opportunity to raise and lower them on the forks till you get it right. The ones in your pic are at a fixed height. The Memphis Shades lowers will allow some up and down tweaking. They can also be adjusted in various positions around the forks as the clamps will move where you need them.
Could not believe the drastic reduction in buffeting behind the windshield from this simple add-on. Have never heard (before this post) that lowers increased buffeting.
Had Airwings on for a while but the lowers did a better job of eliminating the buffeting.

+1 on the Memphis shades, mine adjust and cut the buffeting big time.

Ditto on the Memphis Shades.  Tweeked easily and the don't look bad at all.

Sorry not to check in quicker, but I'm on my ride vacation and getting beat to death. The lowers are all must for me when I get back!
I failed to say that I did go back to check the spacing of the holes but the bike had sold. I have a set of national cycles lowers but they don't work unless you buy their lightbar to go with. Not going to happen. Guess that's what the member I got them from thought as well but fail to tell me!  Roll Eyes
The MS ones are a good option but the ones I gave a pic for look great as well....... As long as they function.

You might be able to attach the top of the Nat'l Cycle lowers using a "P" clamp or similar instead of the lightbar.  The other alternative is to get a spare set of front turn signal mounts to use for the top of the lowers....which is what they normally attach too when you use the NC lightbar (turnsignals are moved to the lightbar and original signal mounts are used to secure the lowers).

The Nat'l cycle lowers are actually pretty effective, but I replaced mine with the Memphis Shades type when I got rid of the NC lightbar and windshield.

Good luck.

BIG BIKE THINGS makes some from the valk and they are priced pretty decent.

I have been amazed on my interstate how much air over the tank it has stopped.
