Hey Stan, I got the Continental Vanco car tire mounted Saturday.  Details here: http://forums.delphiforums.com/valkyrie/messages?msg=12140.27

Thanks for the benifit of your experience.  I haven't put many miles on it, but it feels real good so far.

I'm 100% dark side now:
195/65/16 Continental Vanco all season (load rated) on the "big" Valk

195/55/16 Toyo Proxes sport tire on the "little" Valk

Will the 195/65/16 rub the nut cages? I thought only the 205 tire would do that???

Sure am glad you are liking it!  But, I think you may have a little too much pressure in it.   Even thought this tire will go to a max pressure of 70 psi, I think for the weight we are running it far less pressure may give a more even wear pattern.  I am running 30 in mine and it feels more like a mc tire than any car tire I have tried.  I am just guessing since no one has any experience with this tire on a valk.  Since we are running far less weight than the rating of around 2000 pounds I think less air might produce a more even wear pattern.  With 60 pounds I will bet you are going to wear the center of the tire first.

These tires have a lot of tread depth.  Please let us know, Curtis, how your tire is wearing as you get some miles on it.  Since I put far more miles on my wing, it will be a long time before I know how this tire is going to wear.

I started 'testing' my tire pressure at 32 PSI and found 38 PSI works great for me.  The tire was a bit wobbly at high speed (over 100 MPH) and felt a little wiggly on slower speed turns.  38 PSI seems to stop the wiggles and eliminate the wobbles.  I noticed no difference over 40 PSI.  YMMV

I don't know.  Because of my hitch being bowed in and pressing the fender in, my right nut cage was rubbing the stock size Avon.  I had to tear everything apart anyway to figure out what was misaligned, and I may run a 205 sometime in the future so I went ahead and opened up the clearances.  I did both the nut cage cut and the fender rail spacer mod so I have plenty of room now.  Also, this tire measured 8.25 inches across before I mounted it on the rim.  I didn't realize it would actually shrink in width after being mounted and aired up.  I think it is around 7.5 or 7.75 inches wide now.

Could be Stan.  I put the car tires on for their increased performance.  The added mileage is a bonus.  If I take a bit of a hit on wear to keep a more rounded profile then I don't count that as loss.  I'll play around with pressures a little to see what's what.  In any case thanks again for your help and suggestions.  I'll keep ya'll posted as I know more.
