Correct, you have no choice, but what is the problem?

I've run nothing but 10% in MGM since day one and that is 242K miles without a problem.

I've run 10% in all my vehicles since it hit the pumps in Iowa.   I did have to work on my old 65 Chevy as it didn't like it too well.    My 39 Chevy Coupe also had nothing but 10% in it.   She had a Crate 350 between her legs driving a Ford 9" rear end.

I don't know if my state knows how to mix it or what.    I know several people on here just beat the crap out of it cause it isn't any good in their ride.      It makes their ride run crappy and etc.

I have hit a state or 2 that either had a lot of water in their tank, or didn't know how to mix it, as MGM was kind of hesitant in burning it, but it never caused him any problems in it's use, good or bad mixture.

Poor guy probably never owned a Valkyrie. It burns rubber, and I know it burns the hell out of 10% ethanol gasoline. Another 5% shouldn't be a problem.

when we were in arkansas, passing through ok and a couple of northern texas stops, we hit every pure gas station on the puregas map we came across.  ahhhh, the smell of pure gas was wonderful....it took me back to the daze when i was  a kid and rode my little honda 50 to the local citco to put 2-4 bits worth of gas in the tank.    Smiley

The way I read it is:
1. No one is being required to buy E15 gas.
2. If you choose to buy gas from a blender pump, you may be requiere to buy at least 4 gallons.

Not saying it makes any sence Smiley

don't be surprised if E15 gas doesn't make it to the pump.  I read just a few minutes ago with the supply shortage of corn this year with the drought thus increasing food prices and everything else,  even E10 may not be as widespread as it is now.   Personally,  I hope they just get ride of E10, E15, E85 gas since it just doesn't make sense at all to run any ethanol in vehicles since it gets worse mpg and decreases the supply of corn which is already in short supply thus increasing food prices.

Exactly my experience.  Been burning it in everything here on the farm since it first came out.  Cannot think of ONE problem I have had because of it.  And, I do NOT raise corn either!

I am NOT making an argument on if the gov't  should do it, just my experience with using it.

I think the biggest problem with E-10 is leaving it set in the garage. The stuff doesn't store well, and if you don't use some kind of fuel treatment constantly, the crap gumms up the works. That and the fact that most small engines don't like corn. cooldude

Ethanol has to be one of the dumbest things the Federal government has forced on America for many, many years. It's similar to the Amtrak food debacle. Our taxes go to supplement corn farmers so a few politicians can stay in office. There simply is no legitimate benefit to burning your food supply for gasoline.

Even my 2011 Ford Taurus has a NO E85 logo around the filler opening. Typical government nitwits though. If some of a bad thing isn't bad enough, increase the pain.

I don't normally get into the political discussions but once I thought ehtanol was a good idea being renewable and all. Now I raise cattle and Hogs and am ticked off at the cost of grain partly due to ethanol and this year due to no rain. Correct me if I am wrong but I think we are still subsidizing ethanol with tax dollars. So as the cost goes up more tax dollars will be required for them to produce and of course we pay more at the pump and grocery store. I don't know about the rest of you but my lower half is getting really sore. trying to stay g rated. Feel free to tell me I am wrong.

sorry I strayed a little from topic. Looks like the EPA has thier head up their arse. I say they ban
blender pumps, I hate them. I try to use stations that due not have them but when traveling you
are at the mercy of the area. I do not want to put undo stress on the owners so maybe grandfather
this e15 stuff in so only stations without blenders carry it and any newly built stations have to have a dedicated hose. I due not have the answers but seems today I have opinions. sorry for ranting. Big over reaching Gov is ticking me off today. Rant done

What a lot people in this country don't recognize is that the energy/dollars need to create ethanol gas is much greater than that available when combusting it. In other words, A lot of energy is wasted and a lot of money spent and a lot of effort is needed to make ethanol from corn. Obviously it's subsidized or we would have to pay even more for it. Most people don't even think about their fuel supply until its not available or the price is too high. Thanks for the post and letting me vent.   tickedoff

Drill for oil where ever it is in the US/Alaska, build the Canadian pipeline, cut dependency on foreign oil, get corn out of gas entirely!

The whole ethanol thing is just another big government scam in my opinion.

So as usual, if some gubmint idea doesn't work worth a crap, in their little pea brains, it makes perfect sense to do MORE of it.

Nancy Pelosi and especially her husband are heavily invested in "green" energy and ethanol.  Nancy IS the government.  Pretty much everything you need to know about the government shoving E10 down the throat of the American consumer.   Angry
