Just put 46psi (ME 880) in the front and 42 (General Altimax) in the rear.  Even with 42 in the front it seem to steer pretty heavy.  The CT is new and I had a GYTT on before with about 24K on it.  After the Altimax was installed it seemed to steer heavier and that is why I bumped the front from 42 to 46psi.

Anything wrong with doing this?  Thoughts?

Thanks,  Mark

Is the Metz a rear on the front or a regular bike front?
In any event.
Alot of guys do run 42 psi in the front with their Valks, not me not even close.
A CT rear and a regular bike tire on the front will always feel for lack of a better word"weird".
This why alot including me mounted a bike rear on the front.
46 psi in any event is almost 50 hot.
Thats alot of air for a front tire regardless of what it is in my opinion.
I run my rear at 32.
The front which is a bike rear tire at a max of 36, usually at 34 psi as it doesnt have anywhere near the load on it when on the front.

But Im not very fond of the quality of the front end ride of a Valk as it is any way.
Its a very stiff running front to begin with.
High front tire pressure and my bike bounces all over the place.

Also I have found again in my personal experiences on a few different bikes.
Putting on a new rear of a different type.
And an older used front bike tire.
Never is a good feeling.

A GYTT is a much stiffer tire then a Gen Altimax and there should be no similarity in how they feel.
Unless the fronts fairly new.
Id can it for a rear on the front.
Something on the order of a Pirelli M66 or a Bridgestone Battle Axe rear.

You could get some more info on some of the Darkside sites as to whats being used on say the GWs and why.

I've run nothing but Metz radial tires on two bikes for years, until darkside rears.

I run 44-5 in my 150 fronts (with 40 in my GATTs rears).......... the max psi printed on the sidewall is 50, so 45 is good and safe and extends life.  I had run 42, but upped it to 44-5 with no adverse effect, and better handling, if a wee bit of a harder ride.

I havent used a Metz tire in over 5 years since there was problems with the Brazilian made tires.
I do have a brand new 5 year old German Metz 880 rear in 160-80-16 in my closet.
Lemme take a peek on what it says.
I used to on the R* anyway run them 36 front and rear back then.
The 160 says 42psi max cold.

Odd size for the Valk, but I would toss it on if I had to.
