I have a new chrome headlight piece for my IS fairing... I started to take it apart only to find all the screws holding the speaker grills on will not screw out...they just spin!!!

I'm thinking I'll have to grind the heads off...

Anyone have any tricks to remove these screws???

if they all spin, then the brass nuts should just pull out.  This is a common problem, might do a little searching.

Rocker 333. Take a plain ordinary table knife and work it in between the fairing and the speaker pod as close as you can get it to the screw head itself and GENTLY pry while backing the screw out. After you get them out hold the brass ferrule with just enough pressure with a small vise grip and back out the little bolt. Do not use the cross cut in the bottom of the ferrule with a screw driver-it will break the ferrule. DON'T ask me how i know that.  uglystupid2 Then mix up a little J B cold weld and dab a little into each hole and push the ferrules all the way in then let them cure for at least 24 hours. When you reinstall the little bolts into the ferrules-use a dab of anti-seize on each one. Remember to pry GENTLY and you should be good to go.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.
