I tell people I'd upgrade, but there's NOWHERE to go IMO.
I'd like to have an I/S AND a Rune. But I can't afford both, and don't like EITHER better than my '02 Blue and Pearl Standard.

. . . nyuck nyuck nyuck . . . (just back from Colorado. Spent an afternoon visiting bike shops in Fort Collins with the kid. Was completely amazed at the size of the HD store, Thunder Mountain if my memory serves me correct. That place is HUGE. Looks more like a ski lodge that should be on top of a mountain rather than alongside the freeway. Spent far more time visiting the metric shops. Don't think we managed five minutes in the HD shop. Lots of glitter and glamour, but nothing made my heart race.) Was happy to get home and find my Valk in the garage patiently waiting for my return. After ten years, there is nothing out there that makes my heart go pitter-pat like the sight of a Valkyrie. I tried to post to the "One Word" thread while I was away but I couldn't get in for some reason. One word: VERVE! Ymmv, sheets

Store the Harley in a nice dry spot...... I'm sure it won't be seeing much road time after you get the Valk fixed up to your liking! When you do decide to turn the HD loose at least you'll be able to benefit from some of that "legendary resale value" that all of my Harley buds constantly tell me about. I do know a bit about how you feel, I bought a nice Rocket 3 & rode it for a year and a half before I sold it & bought another Valkyrie. Difference was I never got rid of my Valk. Welcome back & enjoy!
