What do you need to build a tool to take the clutch
basket apart.
   BigBF is here and needs one to replace and repair one.

if you are talking about compressing the spring to pull the snap ring: i used a piece of thick walled pvc. just cut a 1-1/2 section out so you can reach in with the snap ring pliers. i just compressed it by setting it between my floor jack and the bumper on my van.

No worry... It's done remove snap ring off, we use C-clamps to compress and removed. But it did not do well. I'll have my wife send me the tool for it or I'll make one here I think I better make one and cheaper than have her mail it.  So I can install back together without headaches.

FYI: 36mm incorrect. Correct is 46mm.
