Made my own kit for less than $10.  All I needed were freeze plugs, some sheet aluminum to make block off plates for the air system on the under side of the engine and vacuum caps.

I did it the Quexpress way too... here's the plate I made for the bottom, my tops are
the OEM Chrome nubs with the pipes cut off, filled with epoxy, held down with the
original holder-downers... never a problem...

I like the way the top plugs in the Red Eye kit look, and work...

Four 9/16" freeze plugs, some exhaust gasket material and some of the two part epoxy that you see in the tubes at the auto parts store that look gray but have a black center kinda like a tootsie roll.  Take all the smog stuff off, tap the freeze plugs in with a small 1/4" extension on the top four.  Make sure the socket is quite a bit smaller than the freeze plug or it will get trapped when you drive it in. For the bottom two, cut the tubes off the OEM parts and fill them with two part epoxy and put a piece of exhaust gasket underneath.  Remove the pair valves and screw a bolt from your junk box that is snug into the hole left in the bottom of the airbox.  Put caps on #3 and #4 vacuum ports.
