I need to change this bearing. Has anyone done this? How do you get the bearing out? I have the pinion gear out but still need to get bearing out.

Haven't looked but COULD this procedure be covered in the Honda service manual OR on Dags downloadable manual?? Worth a shot.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Yes it can be taken out with patience and the right tools.  Its a soft wire keeper. Take a large needle and
go down in the hold and turn the wire until you find the end.  Then you need to pull up on the end and
get hold of it with a pair of real good needle nose pliers.  Pull the wire out then you can pull the bearing out.
