Hello,

I recently got a set of interstate bags.  The bags came with the saddlebags, the mounting brackets and rear bracket.  However, no mounting screws.  I'm trying to make sure I have everything that I need when I order from HDL.  Can someone be so kind to double check I have the right screws?

http://www.hdlparts.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=2093218&category=Motorcycles&make=HONDA&year=2000&fveh=124340

Items; the (2) represents I need two of something - 44(2), 46(2), 47(2), 43(2), 58(2), 50(2), 4(2), 5(2), 51, 45(2)

I also picked up a trunk, and since I have a standard, I need to get the grab rails.  Do I need anything besides the grab rails or do they just mount straight to the fender?

Thanks for your help.

Get Rattlebars bag drop kit instead of OEM bolts. It'll be much easier to remove the bags/brackets for rear wheel maintenance.

Rattlebars has been out of buisness for quite sometime now.   Sad

Just went through this - I feel your pain!  The number required is the 2nd column on the parts list you posted.  You need 8 of the bolts that hold the bags to the brackets (# 58) and don't forget the "collars" (#4) - 8 of those also.  Rubber grommets (#5) were still on my bags, may want to double check so you don't order things you don't need - most Honda dealers will not return special order parts.  Good luck and congratulations on your new bags!

Can't believe I missed that req # section.  Thanks for the post.  I'll double check the bags should make it a little easier and if I end up with a few extra screws, o well it's only a few bucks   tickedoff

Is there anyone besides Rattlebars, that makes the bag drop kit? It would sure make things easier.

You can make your own with metric allthread and spacers/nuts from Ace Hardware. The allthread might be hard to find. You need 8mm X 1.25 pitch and 10mm X 1.25 pitch.
