I'm looking for raked triple trees for the Valk for use with a sidecar rig. The sidecar companies (e.g. Champion, Motorvation, etc.) want up to $1,000. I was hoping to do a LOT better than that. Does anyone have any they want to get rid of or know of another source? I've put a WANTED ad in the VRCC Classifieds also.  Smiley

It is a LOT better than $1000.  Only $899 for the 4 deg rake kit.
I wonder, does it help handling like the 2bros kit did on a regular valk, ie, if you take the sidecar off?

Some ran the 2bros on just a bike, and really liked it.  Anyone have any experience?
They say a Gold wing cannot be riden solo with a rake kit, and sidecar removed, but a valkyrie can.

Boz,

Check out XF6 Customs.

Daryl is a VRCC member, and makes beautiful stuff...  Closer to $600 too  cooldude

Yes, he is a buddy of mine, but I don't work for him.

The TBR triple clamps are not "raked" and are not for sidecar or trike applications. The TBRs would cause the front end to "plow" is in those applications.
They are designed  to quicken the low speed handling,....but may cause high speed handling issues.

Thank you everyone for some excellent suggestions. Hey Black Dog... I called Daryl at XF6-custom.com and he was very helpful. He appears to have a great product line and reasonable prices. He also put me in touch with another user of his 6 degree trees on a Valk sidecar, which was also quite helpful. I think I'm going to be getting the 6 degree triple trees and 2 inch fork extenders that he makes - for my Valk sidecar rig.

Thanks again all, especially Black Dog.  Smiley

Glad I could help.

Like I said, Daryl's a stand up guy, and sells some very cool stuff, that is of the highest quality.

I called Daryl at XF6 Custom Design and ordered the 6 degree triple tree and 1 1/4 to 1 3/8 inch fork extensions. We discussed the use I am looking to achieve, which is riding both with and without a sidecar attached, and Daryl recommended this setup to get good results for my multiple use. Daryl seems to be a knowledgable guy and I'm looking forward to getting the sidecar set up with the new triple tree and fork extensions as soon as the parts arrive. I'll report back on the final results after all installation and setup is completed.

Thanks again Black Dog.  Smiley

BOZ:
Please do that.  We plan on getting a new Hannigan Classic this fall for my wife.  Sitting on a mc gets too hard for her.  So, a trike is out.  I have been trying to figure out a set up to help steering WITH the sidecar, yet still be OK without the hack.
I would appreciate very much an update.  When do you think you will be trying it out?
