How about Oct. 6 or 7?  I KNOW BJ would go for a road trip to the Blessing Hotel for lunch.
Good home cooking, just like moma used to make.
Edit.    Here is a pic from Labor Day.......

Nothin fancy, just good food.

It takes me two days to get there, riding flat out on the Interstates...

It would be more fun to take three days and do it something like this...

GOTF always involves a several hour ride and lunch... I guess I was imagining that
from my far away vantage point...

I had thought about this ride for the Saturday morning ride.....  But we was gonna ride to eat (all I can eat home cookin) then return to HotGlue's to stuff ourselves with HG Q.   It just wasn't adding up in my head.  Don't think I could eat much Q after a lunch at the Blessing Hotel.
