Kuryakyn Transmission Cover
«

Trying to install the Kuryakyn 7710 transmission cover on my 2000 Interstate. The installation instructions are a bit confusing. Can't figure our what to do with the "waisted bolt". If there is anyone who has installed this cover and has some photos or video of the install, I'd appreciate the help or steering me to a right thread.
Thanks

Don't worry bout the wasted bolt, Kury includes all the bolts needed, but you also have to remove one or two to use the Kury bolts. The ones you remove are chrome factory bolts just like the Kury ones. Store them for safe keeping, you may not like that tin can sound the covers create.

Here's how the brackets go, if that helps.

I always cover the inside of the Trans covers with adhesive sound deadening material before I install them. The type you would use on a car audio install.

I used window/door latex caulk cheap and effective on the inside. Just smear the inside of the cover with a generous amount of caulking let dry overnight and install. No tin can sound out of mine, works great at a buck a tube.
