Has anyone in the Austin area ever ridden the Fitzhugh Rd. (Co Rd 101) from Tanglewood to Johnson City and is it paved all the way? Looks like a nice long scenic route.

Yes and yes -- rode it less than two weeks ago.  There are some low water crossings (one for sure that I'm thinking of) that are fine unless it's been raining and there are some really beautiful areas along the way.

Starting at 290 West near Cedar Valley in Travis County, Fitzhugh basically turns into West Fitzhugh at RR 12, runs through Hays County and takes you into Pedernales State Park.  It then continues as FM 2766 into Johnson City where you'll hit 281/290 in Blanco County.

Hey Eli, give me a shout if you're in the area...512-422- 8six3six

Thanks for the info Charlie, thinking of making that part of my ride should I make the Hill Country Ride-in. I'm not sure yet, but if I come up on Friday, I'll give you a call, see if you can ride some.

Thanks Again, Eli.
