Attended my uncle's funeral Sunday.

Interesting service.

Besides friends and family, attendees included the former President and First Lady (George W and Laura Bush), Governor Perry, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson, and others of that caliber.

Also, John "Wiley" Price attended and spoke. He's a colorful Dallas activist and politician and a polar opposite of my uncle in every possible way...but they held each other in high esteem.

As I said...Uncle Fred was a true statesman...he taught me...and our entire family...that the world is a big ol' neat place.

I'm sorry for your and your family's loss.  When I read about his life, achievements, and contributions made on such a grand scale, I know we've all suffered a loss.  My deepest condolences to you and Carrie.
