Here is my experiences:
I rode my bike both ways...
Originally the tourer tank, then opted for the Interstate tank...
but now I run the 3 gallon belly tank with the tourer tank.
The cost of used tourer tank, plus the cost of a belly tank which give you an added 3 gallons down low I think is far less than the price of a Interstate tank.
Plus running a belly tank you no longer have to worry about hydro-lock. since you have a small fuel pump pulling out of the bottom tank...
I like riding to Reno/Lake Tahoe which is 220 miles without stopping, going over the pass with 35-40lbs less pounds up above makes it that much better.
Stopping cause I want to stop, vs having to stop at a gas station.
