Next, are there any known issues of the Avon Cobras losing effectiveness as it gets colder. All tires lose traction effectiveness in cold, esp freezing weather, but worse on all bike tires. I ride year round, and have too many times suited up for cold fall weather, and taken off and had my cold tires slip on me before I remember.......... oh crap, it's COLD out, I need to remember to warm them up (essentially treating them like brand new tires with release agent) for 5-10 miles before I resume my whimsical riding style. My bike shed is unheated/insulated, and while it may have warmed up a bit outside, it is often a freezer in there when I open it up to back a bike out (esp on a concrete floor). It's a couple miles from my house to the main roads, and I can be seen slowly doing the old S-turn slaloms on my way out.
Thanks for the reminder, I generally forget once each cold weather season.
