Fist hello all.....it has been a while, too long since I have ridden the Valk regularly. Well I got a bit of inspiration from a coworker I saw walk in with his helmet. I had got into the habit of the public trans. Read a book and go to work.

I did have the occasional ride over to a buddy in Willingboro NJ, for bikes and cigars....great group, no Valks....

I have not missed a day of riding the Valk to work since Aug 23, 2012.......sooooo now to the reason I am posting.....

My Mustang backrest is corroded itself into the seat, thats why I need the stock seat for a while...not sure how long...might be a pay it forward or I can return it when I am done.....

Next, are there any known issues of the Avon Cobras losing effectivness as it gets colder. I know the super sticky ultra performance tyres on cars say specifically not to be used when the temps are approaching freezing but I dont look at our Avons as ultra performance......

BigBF Quad horns will be here today, rain gear got here yesterady evening, could have really used them in the morning....another story there....

As always....THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!

Next, are there any known issues of the Avon Cobras losing effectiveness as it gets colder.

All tires lose traction effectiveness in cold, esp freezing weather, but worse on all bike tires.  I ride year round, and have too many times suited up for cold fall weather, and taken off and had my cold tires slip on me before I remember.......... oh crap, it's COLD out, I need to remember to warm them up (essentially treating them like brand new tires with release agent) for 5-10 miles before I resume my whimsical riding style.  My bike shed is unheated/insulated, and while it may have warmed up a bit outside, it is often a freezer in there when I open it up to back a bike out (esp on a concrete floor).  It's a couple miles from my house to the main roads, and I can be seen slowly doing the old S-turn slaloms on my way out.

Thanks for the reminder, I generally forget once each cold weather season.     cooldude
