I'll let someone who was actually there tell the story, but there will be hell to pay if I don't see a member listed as "Buzzkill" VERY soon.

Well, here goes.. cause I love the new name LOL..

Thagandy (as he was known then)  was leading the group down to Fredericksburg on Friday.   As we all know.. there tends to be lots of roadkill on HWY 16 from Llano to F'burg.
A car going northbound had caused a couple of buzzards to flee their bountiful meal of roadkill 01.   As they took to the air, we approached their abandoned meal.   Apparently Thag approached much more quickly then one of the buzzard's anticipated and slammed into Thag on his left side and was thrust back into the northbound lane quite close to where it's previous meal was still laying becoming roadkill 02.
When we arrived at the hotel to see if there was damage, Thagandy (as he was still this name at that point) had the flying beast's feathers lodged in his clutch, in his watch.. eww and on the windshield you could see the contact smear (no blood) where it had also impacted on the dragon.
As Disco and the rest of us viewed the bike, he dubbed Thagandy, BUZZKILL!

Now, I may have a few details out of sorts.. I was a bit freaked out by the whole encounter as I watched this from the tail end of the group.

So, honey, change your name!

Love ya!

Thats pretty much it.  Here's the first person view on it.

On the way down, had a real nice ride and had was halfway between Llano and Fredericksburg. I was leading a group of 5-6 bikes. Liz was riding her own in back. There was a SUV in front of us and I let them have a good distance between us. There was roadkill and 2 buzzards in the other lane. When the SUV went by the buzzards flew off and I lost sight of them. Then I see a big black shadow about arms length away heading straight at my left side. It hit my left mirror and knocked it out of place, hit my hand and jammed my thumb, bent my clutch lever just a micro amount so the clutch switch wasn't activating, bounced off my thigh and into my side between the ribs and hip, left a nasty skid mark on the saddle bag, and Lucky1chris swears it landed back in the other lane in two pieces. I kept it upright, and slowed down while I figured out what just happened and what condition me and the bike were in. I could hear Liz on the CB trying to get me to respond. I finally said I was ok and gave everyone else the thumbs up.  Just a couple bruises and no damage to the bike. Just thankful Liz was on her own bike.

It was clear from the way the buzzard hit the road and started spinning around with feathers everywhere that it did not believe in ATGATT. I don't even think it was wearin' a helmet.
