Hi, I just bought a 2000 Valk that the pre owner had removed the tank badges, with the maiden head. I have ordered new ones but would like to have one of you good fellow Valk owners to kindly check the placement of said badges, working from the front and bottom seam of the tank please give me the measurements. I want to make sure I get them in the right spot you see. As soon as I can figure out how to post some pictures on the site I will do so. The bike is in almost perfect shape with 40,000 miles and I paid $4.400 for it, I hope thats a good price, I felt it was from others I have seen. Thanks so very much, Dain

I've always wondered why anyone takes off the badges and then sells it without them.  It's like throwing away money.  They can't take up that much storage room. Unless  they have a buyer for them after they remove them.. It would seem to me that there is probly only one spot on each side that the badges fit perfectly.  Hoser   ???

Well, we have another tax system in Denmark than in the US, but still I envy you guys over there Cool

I'll post some measurements in a few, if no one else does before I can get them. And yes, you got robbed, you better let me give you your money back, so you won't fell so bad about it.

Here you are, hook your tape clip on the tank seams with these measurements:
    1) To the front of the Maiden head________5 3/8"
    2) To the bottom of the Maiden head ______5"

Dain, I had to re-install some on my wife's bike when we got it.  Use the measurements you were given, but they pretty much need to be in one specific spot to lay down correctly.  I used double sided 3M tape that I got from the body shop.  I stuck the tape on the badges with the other sidecovering still on, moved them around until I found the spot, made some light pencil marks then installed them.

Thunderbolt,
Is that your bike in the avatar? Could you post better pictures of it, especially the rear fender?
