Rode the valk today she started just fine rode into town got gas started fine again and stopped once more before I went into work came out dead battery she cranked for a second and then tick tick tick battery dead. Not sure how old it is I'm thinking right about 5 yrs old could be 6 at tops.
So now question is which of these two do I need Yuasa YTX14H-BS or YTX14-BS. I can get either one for about 70.00 from amazon with free shipping.

The YTX14-BS was OEM. The "H" has additional plates and probably will have better performance. The lifespans should be similar. FWIW.

Thanks salty only thing I could see was the H has 240cca where the other only had 200cca so I figured I'd ask which of two be best

I had to put one on mine the other day. I ended up with a walmart battery, mostly because I wanted to ride and didn't have or make time to wait on an order to come in. My first battery lasted for 6 or 7 years. The second only lasted 2, but I contributed to that by letting it run down with an accessory that stays on when the bike is stopped.
Amazing how much faster the bike spins with a fresh battery.

s Oh wow you are right very pricey, I don't think it will last two times as log as the OEM battery I can get the yuasa from amazon for 70.00 I'll just go that route, just wasn't sure if I needed to get the Heavy duty replacement or just the standard. I'll stick with the original one I suppose. Thanks everyone for the input. She'll sit for a couple days I'm OK with that I still have the Harley to ride so I'm not totally without.

The web page promotes its big advantage is its light weight, "Braille's no weight AGM series batteries rule the track as it is no secret that the lightest vehicle with the most powerful battery will be a top performer." Yet it's 1.8 lbs heavier than the OEM Yuasa it replaces. ???

Guess I'm a bit different when it comes to batteries. Kinda like tires and keeping good up-to-date rubber on the road. With batteries and tires, keeping them current is cheap insurance. That said....I change out my battery every three years regardless of the "apparent" condition. Nothing like getting stuck in the middle of nowhere with an old battery that just gave up the ghost.
