Good evening all,

I just purchased a used tow hitch receiver for an interstate.  It is not a model I had seen before.  Not sure of the manufacturer as I think it has been powdercoated.  It is from an interstate and has two lower mounts that slide in where chrome cross member would go (obviously you have to remove that) and two arms that on a quick look attach to the saddlebag mounts.  It has a 1" receiver and did not come with a draw bar.  The seller had bought the bike recently and didn't come with it (I inqured).  I put my caliper on it and it is indeed a 1" opening not 1 1/4".   Any thoughts of manufacturer or should I just weld up a piece of 1" square steel stock with a ball mounting plate coming off it?    Thanks,  Brad

A pic would be helpful.

I'd guess it might be for a deck for a small cooler or travel bag. If you feel the mounts to the bag frame mounts are strong, then use it for a trailer. I have a HitchDoc on the Valk and a Bushtec on the Wing. I've never seen a mount like you're describing.
