My girlfriend is quite tall and has requested a taller rear back rest/sissy bar.  Is anything available?

You may be able to get a different pad for tha bar to make it taller. I have a Ultimate pad, and it has two sets of mounting holes. One for lower, and one higher up.

Mustang has oversized/raised backrests, too.

For what it`s worth; I made a taller pad out ot MDF and had a shop cover. Cost was about $60.00. Attacthed to sissy with screws. Worked great on a trip to Colorado holding a duffle bag to it with bunge cords. Pattern for screws is same on most Honda back rest.  cooldude Go for it !!

I'll second the Mustang back rest pad.  It is different, but not much taller than stock.  It matches the curve of the back (wider), and has a built in angle that is more natural for the passenger sitting position.
