Great weekend with awesome weather beautiful fall colors and some outstanding folks.I did'nt take many pictures  Undecided  I was told sunday morning by Miss Reba that we have sold out The Phillips Motel again for " The Fall Color Ride 2013 "   cooldude
First couple pic's are from the ride up to Robbinsville on friday.

I've been doing this ride year after year and the folks keep coming back this is just as much about this ride as the ride....Hangin' out by fire.

My friend THE Detn8er and his main man Ryan.....Mark I wish you only the best and hope everything turns for the " gooder " with what you are dealing with right now.I look forward to seeing that black spot-less beauty with you on board soon  cooldude

These next pictures was taken sunday on the way home as we did The Dragon. Reb had hit his exhaust header in a curve .Most know I've owned a Valkyrie since 1998 and I've only hit my header once in those years on my yellow Valk.

We leaned it over to see the angle to do this  Shocked

Again I'd like to say " Thank You " to the people that keep this ride alive by coming back year after year  cooldude

Enjoyed every second of the weekend Joe. Can't thank you enough for hooking me up with a room. Otherwise, financially I would have been hurting to make the ride. I left a lot of bike shards all over Tennessee and North Carolina  cooldude cooldude cooldude . I had a ball riding with you guys as always.

Big AL said there was no way I could out Crazy him, It was impossible........

I tried my best, but still am not flexible enough to do the one leg kick up around a corner in front of Killboy...

Until next time my friend, always a pleasure sharing wind with you.....

Had a great time Joe. It was good to meet some more new faces at this ride.  I got to meet Big Al,(is he on medication)? and a lot more folks. Everyone was nice and welcoming to me and Stephanie. Look forward to it next year.  On a sad note, we got home Sunday evening around 6:00pm, and as is customary, Stephanie went on duty at the hospital for her brother at 7:00pm. when she goes on duty, it is emergency call back for the remainder of the night on Sundays. Well, she got called in at around 11:30 that night, and when she was leaving, she fell. she called me,(I was already in bed), and I had to go down and help her  get up. We checked her out and she said she thought she was ok, so went to work and did two CT scans, and a shoulder xray on two different patients, then decided to xray her ankle. Well, sure enough, she broke her fibula, spiral fracture at the distal end. We went to Nashville next morning and got lucky, no surgery, only a boot for the next three months. Riding is over for her this year.
Sorry for the long note, she had a great time at the fall colour ride and want everyone to know she had fun.

Reb must have hit a dip in the corner to have scraped that pipe.  With the bike leaned over that far, like in the picture, will the pipes touch the ground?
I don't think my stock pipes will without compressing the suspension at the same time.

There is a possibility I scratched them the previous day riding in the "spirited group" that Britman was leading. Everyone behind me was asking if I had titanium or magnesium bolts in my pegs as I guess the sparks were flying. We stopped after the dragon to take a peak under the bike. I saw that scratch in the exhaust and my kickstand was ground down a lot on the other side. Not sure if I hit a dip, hard telling when your scooting along  Grin

Once hard parts start to grind you are only an Oh $hit away from the rear wheel coming off the ground.  Sad Shocked Sad

Gordon Lucky 13 thought you could drag a part or two, till he lost all of his Black Beauty too a race with a Sport Bike.
Lucky is his middle name and that is all that saved him from instant death on Cherohala Skyway, as he landed in a Grassy Spot.
Lucky and blessed to still have our buddy Gordon,

Don't let stupid make you think luck does not run out it does.

Trust me, I'm not going around practicing how far over I can lay my fat girl. I didn't realize it was over that far until I saw the photo. I will admit, I wanted a good shot of the CT at an angle. My dynamics professor who rides a bike as well, thought I was an idiot for having a care tire on a motorcycle. Printed the photo off and took to class to show him yesterday. I'm apparently still an idiot  uglystupid2 uglystupid2

Joe,

Thanks for getting us all together again.  I have the cabin reserved for next year.  Just got home about 3:00 today.  NO RAIN!  couple of wet roads, my bike was the dirtiest I've ever seen it, got it washed already though.

My neighbors, Larry and Jane Had a blast and said they will be back next year.  Jane said it was the most fun she's ever had with her clothes on.  They also said you all are about the nicest folks they've met in a long time.

It was great seeing everyone again.  I should have put some of the TP from Friday night in a saddle bag for the ride home.  (Don't ask)

Give Miss Reba a call Don and get on the waiting list we sold out her place before we left . Might be a good idea to call the San-Ran Motel <---just down the road and get a room . You can cancel if a room or cottage opens up at ground zero.....You need a room for friday Oct. 18 and saturday Oct. 19 , 2013.
