I have a love affair with a bumblebee

Country Rep. Norway

WWW
« on: June 12, 2009, 04:33:10 PM »

Found this on a Italian site, updated today.
Used Google Translate, hope its OK.

The current president of the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world, Takeo Fukui, will leave office this month of June 2009, succeeded in his post and appointed by the board of directors of Honda Motor Co., Takanobu Ito.

But it seems that Fukui will have the honor to say the charge for all out, with the official presentation of the model that promised in the inaugural Hall of Tokyo 2007, when posing with the prototype Evo 6, Honda announced it would investigate and innovating on their bikes and soon we would see that model.

In the original form it's ugly as sin. To me, it just looks like an oversized dirtbike the way it's hung. But with the bags, windshield, etc., I might actually go for one if it's priced reasonably.

What Dag, no Yellow and Black??!!!  You should make them a prototype.  Should look good with the black pipes and intake runners.

I LIKE IT!

It is a shame that people have such a hard time embraceing the new/different.
Sort of reminds me of a more modern Rune.

OK,...Flame away!

It looks like a very hot sport bike that will compete head to head with the V-Max.

I've notice that while it says the engine is essentially the 1800 cc model found on the Goldwing, the driveshaft is now on the left side... would make it hard to adapt to a Valk frame.

I would like to see how the engine/trans is attached.

I think it's pretty cool looking......in a sport bikey kinda way.  But it's not for me and I wouldn't buy it.  However, if they dropped the seat height to about 26 inches, offered some options such as soft or hard bags, studded leather and a windshield or fairing option, then you'd have me at hello.   coolsmiley

Nice looking bike, problem is that they’re going after the crotch rocket market and not for the people that want to tour, then I guess that’s why they’ve got the goldwing right?  But I don’t like the gold wing, too much plastic.

With a couple of factory options, I think it would make a fine Sport Tour.  I am sure Corbin will jump all over this one and offer seat, bags, and smuggler, and maybe a full trunk.  That is if they dont go under.  I for one love the styling, and think its a good move for Honda.

I like it... but..... wouldn't want it to be my only ride. Maybe as a
2nd or 3rd bike.

Hey Kidd, just playing with ya's OK?

My grand father always told me if I had to ask the price I couldn't afford it....

I think I'll stick with MGM.    He has been around long enough and also for many many miles, I'd hate like 7734 to start over grabbing miles and states again....

Besides, I know every crook and cranny on him, and I'm an old dog and hate to ha\ve to leanr new tricks.....
