I know this is going to sound stupid, but how do you get the trunk liner out to run speaker wires.  I removed the screws around the top lip, the five screws that hold the shield in the front and the three screws that go into the latch in back.  I can't get it to come out.  What am I missing.  I looked on the picture breakdown of the trunk, but it doesn't help much.

I had mine out while the trunk was off the bike. Been two years. Is there a chance you need to remove the bolts that hold the trunk to the bike as well?

I had mine apart many years ago and can't remember. Trunk is off the bike? Are you sure you have all the screws? Taillights out? Mine came out real easy once I had all the screws. Maybe someone will have some recent experience cooldude

you need to remove the rubber strip that sits along the top ridge of the bottom part. Its glued on, but you can remove it by careful pulling and prying without tearing it up. There are about 27 little screws underneath that hold the liner to the bottom trunk. Remove those and you're done. Just re-glue the rubber strip with some rubber cement, so you can repeat the process in the future if needed.

there are 5-6 small screws coming up from the bottom side of the trunk. the bolts that mount the trunk need to be removed also.

Where is the plug on the bike for the rear speaker wires?

Finally got it apart.  Had to remove the rubber grommets as they help hold the two halves of the runk together.
Now, where is the plug that the rear speakers plug into.

Electrical connections makes a wiring harness that snaps right into the plug under the right side cover. Or you can just tie into those wires with some solder.

I bought the electrical connection harness, but I can't find the place it plugs into.  One place I read said that it was in one of the plastic sleeves.  I looked in them and no connector.  I found the connectors for the cb and cb antenna coming off the radio.
Is it a plug coming off the radio.  Not really sure where to look for it under the right side cover.
I just got this bike yesterday so am trying to learn asap.  I have a stnadard, but not the same beast.
