Any suggestions on where the next InZane should be held!

This map really limits our/your travels Hay! It would be better to a map by county that way one can still travel to all states only to avoid certain counties. That would be a more interesting map. Red may be able to travel all over the USA and blue would be confined.

I still believe that there are a lot of good (maybe misguided) people everywhere and I for one wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to meet them while on a motorcycle. It seems to me that we are faced with a moral crisis in this country. What has happened to shame!  ~TJ

Jimmy, wait till they have a county by county voting map before you blame all the blue states.

I'm sure 2012 was much like 2008, lots of good folks in many blue states, once you get clear of the cities.

Best I can find for this election.

Hey.. still lots of places to visit...!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure it will make no difference to the areas I decide not to visit.....  but at least 'my' dollars will have a choice as to where they will be spent.
I am also sure that my money will be distributed to those areas through taxes to the non performers.....  but I don't feel the need to contribute voluntarily.

This is the one and only political comment that I'm going to make on this forum.

Think about this. The biggest problem with our country right now is that we are so divided. And it goes all the way up to the top of all of the government branches. Congress is thinking just like you are, they are only interested in talking/hearing their own ideas! They don't even try to hear what the opposition is saying or understand the other point of view. But once they are elected the are not suppose to be "opposition" they are suppose to be FELLOW members of congress and FELLOW country men, all working to govern our great country by creating policy and law that benefits all of us, not to benefit their special interest groups or corporations that payed to get them there!

By saying you are only going to spend money in states that think like you, you are contributing to the problem. You are continuing to contribute the the divide. We should accept the decision of the majority and continue/start to encourage our representatives to represent us the citizens, not special interest groups and corporations. To listen to what their follow congressmen have to say and to COMPROMISE in creating policy and law that benefit our nation.

OK I'm done, Carry on!

P.S. it doesn't matter how I voted, the election is over.

I've read the original post two times, have had conversations and ridden with the originator of the post. I'm a bit puzzled as to how one would distinguish where red or blue is when traveling, even if by counties. This motorcycle forum is being dominated by political issues, I think I should bow out, because many on this forum know who I am. When I attend a VRCC function I make monitary contributions not because of my political affilliations but because of the purpose of the fund raiser and a need to contribute something to society. I don't think I'm in the right place anymore.
The Texas Board, I thought was the place to communicate with knowledgible people about Valkyries. There seem to be a lot of the political hatred spilling over from the general board, which is dominated by a few.
I also have no intentions of altering my travel because of anyones beliefs.

Eli, you are in the right place.  I would do anything for you and any of my VRCC brothers and sisters.  I have never been a part of a club that feels so much like a family as this one.
Sorry that I brought this to the Texas board.  I will work on keeping my mouth shut when it comes to politics or religion.

That said, I probably need to sync my carbs too.  I haven't done it in a couple of years.

How did ya'll get to Ca, without going through the states that are between here and there?

I grew up in California and sold my MC and '69 Camaro to move to Texas back in 1994.  Unfortunately my life does not support long MC trips to allow me to fill out the rest of the map.

I know that I'm a visitor here, but I was born in Texas and lived there for 30 years of my life.  However, I am exceedingly proud of Oklahoma.  Did anyone notice that not one county in Oklahoma had a majority that voted with those who wanted a handout.  The same thing happened in 2008.  Yes, I'm kinda proud of where I live and wish that I had lived right here in this house all my adult life.  Someday I'll be buried in Texas.  Hope that is a long time down the road and many Valk miles away, but until then, I'm just as happy as a pig in the sunshine right where I am.  (Yes, I was raised on a farm too, so I know about pigs.)...Jim  Grin

Wow!  I guess some people just can't take a hint.  If you follow the thread you'd realize that we, the Texas members, decided to keep politics off of the board; stick to the national board if you have to go online to discuss politics.

Houdini, I can see that you didn't even read my first sentence or pay any attention to the rest of the post other than the part which you disagreed with.  I would say that you are more of a "spinster" than a magician.  I have been places and done things in my life that you haven't even read about in books, if you do read books.  Out of respect for my friends on the Texas board, I will hereafter refrain from posting anything here.  I do hope that I have not ruffled any feathers of the ones on this board that know me, but I do have a definite problem with you, Mr. Houdini...Jim  crazy2

Yeah Mark, I'll see you in April.  I always have a great time at your place.  You and FB are such great host and the food is so good how could anyone not show up there.  There are too many good people here on the Texas Board to let one bad apple spoil the whole barrel.  I think that you guys throw a great party, and thanks for the personal invite.  It makes me feel a lot better...Jim  Smiley

You're right HG.  I thought I was doing my part in keeping the TX VRCC board pure and not let it sink into another religion/politics/sports/bullshit board like the national one.  I concede, de-evolve away, I'll keep my opinion to myself.

Just remember, I wasn't the member that threatened to quit this board due to all of the political posturing that sent y'all scurrying to apologize and claim that this isn't the place for these opinions.

OK, I'll start;
The Republicans suck
The Democrats suck
The Cowboys suck
Harley's suck

Libertarians rule!

What a great day it was today, my wife cooked a wonderful delicious meal. Why did she do that, because she is a wonderful wife and a very good cook. Eventhough she is a wonderful wife, sometimes she even says things that I don't agree with (or it might p;;;s me off) but we don't part ways because of it.
That being said, I owe everyone an apology for wearing my feelings on my sleeves. People say things, which are their thoughts and opinions, and don't really mean a thing by it. What was said doesn't represent the true feelings of the original poster, (my opinion and I'm sticking to it), otherwise would they be inclined to offer an apology, invites, etc? A short time from now, no one will remember any of these post or when there is a VRCC gathering this will not be discussed on a face to face basis.
Most will be off work tomorrow and the weekend, Ride Safely. I'm headed to the North country.

Never met an unfriendly Valkyrie rider.

I ate too much at my brothers house yesterday and wish I was riding North with ya Eli.  But alas,I have to work today and BJ does too.

I take full responsibility for this post and like I posted earlier, I have learned my lesson and will keep my religion and politics off of the Texas board.
