Any of you using Compufire alternators? Do they fit? Supposed to be high output and more power at low RPM. Looking for feedback. Thank you

This is what I installed on MGM.    Many moons ago I might add.

'97 Goldwing Aspencade

They fit, but you will have to drop the engine or do some frame cutting to get it installed. See this Horseapple article by MarkT.

Kudos to him but I don't think I could butcher my fat lady like that. He might have a hard time selling her if he ever decides to.  Sad

Another alternative is an HO alternator from M.A.R.S. KEN HEMING rebuilds Goldwing alternators up to, I think, 850 or so WATTs, and they are original parts, so plug and play on any GL1500 motor with no mods. I would search this item on the tech forum, as there have been some problems reported, but not many.
