I took Monday off so that I wouldn't have to go 650 miles in one day....I had been wanting to see Mount Airy again, and it so happened that it's about halfway from home....most of the shops were closed, but I still got a few pics ....a shower later, good Mexican food from a place right across the street, and a cool room to come back to, this is the life....and after a GREAT weekend with friends!!...I'm having a ball....I wish I were wealthy and retired so that I could travel the country!!!...I'll have a LOT of pics to post later this week...I've only got about 350 miles to get home, but think I may jump back on the BRP tomorrow and ride home the "long" way...I just hope the deer and especially the full sized Black bears don't run out in front of me again!!...Britman, Coot, Mike M and the rest of you boys....where are you at?...

You behave yourself in Mayberry or Andy will throw you in the lockup, and remember, rule no. 1  Obey all rules, rule no. 2  No writing on the walls     cooldude

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

I made it to the General Lewis after stopping in Lexington to see Washington and Lee university,
as well as the Virginia Military Institute and Stonewall Jackson's house...

Here's a picture of the Valkyrie I snapped from the front porch of the General Lewis while drinking
a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon  cooldude

Dinner's at 7:00... time to head downstairs...  Grin

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

toward the parkway.
Make sure you stop at the Grist Mill on the parkway. Should be around Meadows of Dan.
