well actually great news my bike runs and only has minor hesitation and sounds pretty dog-gone good for a shade tree wrencher like myself however it's leaking gas from where the line comes off the tank down to the "T". so I replaced the lines from the tank down to the carbs. now however it's leaking from the fuel rail right hand side. so here I go again gonna pull it off and see if I didn't have it seated properly, I remember it gave me fits when I was puting it together. got any pointers? will keep you posted.....

Tom, it might need some new o-rings in that area, it's been sitting a lot the last couple years.

My original set of carbs had a bad o-ring in the left rear side bank fuel rail. I had zero experience with the Valk at that point. Let alone the carb setup. Take lots of pictures and be very carefull seperating the carbs. I got a little tense broke a tab off of a crab and ended up having to get a set of take off carbs. All over a few cent o-ring. If it is indeed an o-ring. It wont fix itself.

I've never been perfect my entire life, what's it like? fuel leak solved. however the bike is only running on cylinders 3-6. what should I be looking for, the coil, the plug wires.

Are you still having trouble ?? Are you sure its only running on 3 and 6 or 3 thru 6 ?? I doubt your problem is ignition.. If the bike has been sitting without treated fuel then I would think you have a classic case of sick low jets.. If the bike will pick up the bad cylinders above 2500 rpms then you could try adding new fuel with heavy doses of fuel system cleaner [ I like Sea-foam, full can per tank] and opening the pilots about 1/2 turn.. If it doesn't start running better after a couple tanks then its time to get your dainty little fingers dirty and take some carburetors apart..

If you really want to clean it, run berrymans b12 through it. Seafoam is a stabilizer, berrymans is a strong cleaner, That said, no not let it get on painted surfaces, it will remove paint.
