THEY MOSTLY PUT THOSE SIGNS UP FOR YOUR PROTECTION...... I mean all the oil on the ground can get really slick and you might fall.  Best to park to the side.

I like this one better, but then again most of my Harley riding bros can't dance at speed:

A couple of years back I went to a local "Bike Night" and was informed that I should park in the rear or on a side street because the bike night was for Harley riders only. A HD low life type stood up and said that if metric riders parked on the street that there would be definately cause fracass. It didn't take long for the cops to show up and closed the bike night for good. The cops blamed a couple of metric riders for causing the problem because they should have just moved instead of being persistant and resisting.

Unpossible. According to some on this forum, that sort of discrimination simply doesn't happen.

The only reason they put those signs up is because they don't like being upstaged by those "BIG BAD VALKYRIE MOTORS". It takes the focus off of them.

I wasn't there, but I would think that the cops investigated the situation and made the correct determination.  Metric riders try too hard to fit in with the Harley bunch.

I don't see that happening with this crowd...with the 'Busa, ZX14 or the Connie crews.

Must be a "V-Twin" thing.

The statement I made was this:

I also read several Harley boards and haven't seen much brand bashing on them
although I'm sure it happens.

How does that ending up that it never happens?

"Boards" aren't real life; not by a long shot.

Go to your local neighborhood watering hole - one which caters to the "Enthusiast" - then park your metric (whatever_model) out front and watch the fun begin as the liquid courage begins to flow.

Ditto with the large-scale venue where scale buys one a little anonymity and the monobrows think its "cool" to knock someone's Yamaha over.

Meanwhile...back at the ranch...if the following DOES occur some day, it's going to go over with The Faithful about as readily as a fart in a space suit:

http://www.forbes.com/2007/06/22/harley-davidson-honda-markets-equity-cx_er_0622markets19.html

And yes, Honda could easily snap The Motor Company up without so much as a burp.

One may opine that such a merger - given the aforementioned regulatory concerns - could never happen, but some analysts didn't think Verizon would eventually 0wn Alltel, either.

Not a parking sign, but it`s good  Smiley
Took this picture when I was in Texas last month. It`s on Lyn-Del`s garage door.
