Need assistance figuring out how to do it.

Have lights wired and functional.  Problem being the tail light on Standard fender hits the CB unit mounting under the trunk.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, still looking around for an Interstate lower trunk box in BLACK.  Already have a couple located that are two tone.

Hey Ray,

You either have to find another location for the CB or take the light off. I have a light for a VTX that I am gonna try to make fit sometime this winter.

I have read that the CB will fit under the trunk with the tail light in place, if you change the mount... seem to remember turning it sideways.

Ray, I put My CB under seat next to battery. There is slot for manual that I used dremmel tool to remove dividers. Cb fit good and I routed wiring easily to connections. Keeps it out of weather also.
Terry, ps I have 2001 IS

Under the seat next to the battery sounds like the best place for the CB if you want to keep the tail light.  I would have put it there, except I have part of a Kennedy sound system and part of an electronic cruise control in there.  I hung the CB bracket on the wall and attached the CB to the top part of the left trunk support with a couple of medium duty tiewraps.  The front inboard corner of the CB rests on the front part of the tail light lens with a thin piece of rubber between them.  The CB huggs the bottom of the trunk with the attachments facing forward.  Sounds like a jury-rigged deal, which it is, but it has not moved in 18 months, is out of sight, and works for me...Jim  Smiley
