Do what the doc says - it's hard to stay off the Valk for a while but will pay dividends if you wait.

Heal quick!

Broken Pelvis?  I'm sorry you've joined the club, but glad to know you'll be back soon.   cooldude

Sounds like non-displaced fractures and a partial weight-bearing recovery governed by pain management.  Right?   Roll Eyes

For in the future, and for other dog/bike riders ...........

There are several devices designed to help protect the dog and rider.  My favorite is the Springer http://www.springeramerica.com/

I had two mounted on my old bicycle, one on each side, and had no problems.  Once, with only one dog, the dog bolted off to the side after a cat, and I barely noticed anything.  Till the dog barked, that is.  The dog weighed about 50 pounds, so it wasn't a gentle tug when he took off.

The Springer won't work on my tricycle, however, so I use the Walky Dog (mounted one on the golf cart, too!!) http://www.thedogoutdoors.com/walkydog-dog-bike-leash.html

There is a third one I know of, can't recall the name, probably because I didn't like it Wink  but it mounts on the axle, IIRC, and puts the dog entirely behind the bike.  I didn't care for that, I prefer to see the dog.

thanks guys , and yes its the lower part bone non weight bearing but it s hard lifting the right leg but then the pain killers help Wink, they were to blame as i had a horrific dental surgery the day before(monday) and probably was under the influence of said pharmaceutical (still am)  Cheesy but the dogs needed to run! now was i riding a bicycle under the influence?witout a helmet?! Angry
Phillis, I got a lot of these ideas in my head but never built one yet. usually the leads are shorter than they were that day and even remember thinking that. anyhow I ve been doing this with my dogs for years and it is (only?) the third fall(oops) usually loose pit bulls or chihuahuas  are the cause tickedoff.guess I lll have to plug the battery tender in the valk and time to  take it apart. I always use these events to fix stuff that requires a lot of tear down and time.  Seems like the older I get, the more time I am on the mend for simple hurts.   But my Valk gets a lot more attention! Cheesy
