Wondering if anyone has installed a couple Motosen gauges on an Interstate? I would like to mount a water temp and volt meter on my bike but haven't found a good spot. Probably get the flat gauges for easier mounting.

Thanks

If you do that, I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more posting caused by all the worry those gauges will cause you.

I'm serious, just search the archives and you'll understand where I'm coming from.

Last year I pulled into a gas station and turned off the Valk.  The volt meter indicated under 11V.  I got gas, rode to Wally World, removed the battery and sure enough bad egg!....Got a new one charged it and never had a worry about it in the world.

Dont know why having a Voltage indicating device should worry anyone (or a water temp indicater for that matter) These guages are quite standard on cars now so we should be used to interpreting the readings.

Some people have a Voltmeter mounted on the rear panel of the left radiator pod. I think that's where I'll mount mine. It's a very bright LED out of the surplus aisle at Princess Auto, and I think it would be distracting on the dash, especially at night.

Here's what I did with mine:

I have since lined them up better, but they work great.

I pulled the cable cover and drilled two properly spaced holes for the front most gauges. The other one is the factory hole. I added longer bolts with chrome spacers to get the gauges out a bit as to see them easier over the tank. Easy to see at a glance.

I have a Motosen voltmeter, and mounted it in the RH pod.  Works great.

With that reasoning, I would have had a stroke, a heart attack, and look even older than I do.  My Peterbilt has 23 gauges on the dash! About the only gauge I do not have, is one that shows my personal body temperature!
