Just checking if anyone using a Gl1800 180/60-16 rear tire.  Looks to be 1 " shorter.  But avalable at about anyplace that sells tires.  Price better than the 180 70 16 too.

It will work, little more rpm because of the smaller diameter.  Hoser  Smiley

Hi Ghost Had a tyre failure a couple of years ago near Utica NY. Got towed to a local Honda shop and was lucky he had a used GW tyre for me. Nothing new.It was a 60 ratio. Good thing it held air but it did change the bike. Trailer chains now dragged and I scrapped at almost every corner. The size changed the bike. Glad I had this tyre in a pinch but happier to get the right size back on.
I'm sure many here will say that the extra inch made a big difference.

I bought my second Valk with a 180/60 on it, didn't like the lowered gearing or the look.

Thanks for replies.  I was wondering if it would lower to much.  I am going to stay with oem tire size.

Whether lowering the bike by utilizing a smaller tire or shorter rear shock absorbers, considerations must be taken with regards to the side stand and resulting potential problems with the bike standing too upright.

If you are looking for that elusive 6th gear with the stock size, as I do, a shorter tire will drive you crazy!
