I have never been that fond of the 'heavy looking' front mudguard on the Valk. So when I saw pattern fibreglass front mudguards for sale on UK eBay I decided to use one as the basis for a slimmed down mudguard. I then got carried away and had a dragon's head airbrushed on it by a friend.

This is the trimmed mudguard

That is very nice. I'm a bit partial to Yellow anyway. What kind of fender is that?

As I said it is a pattern fibreglass copy of a standard Valkyrie mudguard reduced in size. This link takes you to a listing on UK eBay for one. More details on my blog as I said.

Maybe because of the angle of the pic but that looks like an OEM replacment fender not the one that the op has.

OP didn't want to cut down his OEM Metal fender so ordered an original replacement fiberglass that he could cut down to what he has. At least that's how I understood the blog to read  cooldude

The one on eBay is an original replacement in fibreglass. I didn't want to cut the original metal one as I felt it may become flimsy losing the support of the rolled metal edge so I bought the fibreglass one that is thicker and was more suitable for cutting down. Also should I ever sell my Valk I can sell the standard mudguard with the bike and sell the custom one hopefully separately and recoup some of the cost.

I am sure if anyone in the US wants one of these from UK eBay one of the members at VRCC UK would help you out with shipping.
