Hey need some good input from you experienced Valk's.    I am going to replace stock shocks with 11.5" progressive's but my question is:   Are the 440's worth the extra $$$?   I would not need to adjust for different weight loads so the hand adjustment the 440's offer isn't an issue, but is the ride going to be significantly better with the 440's than the 412's?  Thanks.

We have replaced the shocks on our three Valks with 412's.  THey work great for us even on the sidecar rig.  I believe that the main difference between the 412's and 440's is more sophisticated valving on the 440's.  If so, we don't miss it.   Others swear by the 440's and I'm sure that they have their reasons too.

I have the 412's on one bike and the 440's on another...I don't have progressive spring up front on the 412 but do on the 440's...the one with the 440's is much smoother ride, given a choice I'd go with 440's..
