I've always used the green SLIME in my tyres. A nail caused a puncture this week so I had the tyre off only to find that the slime had completely dried out and was mainly stuck to the wheel itself and looked like dry glue. It has been in there for 8k though but it wasn't doing anything to protect the puncture.
Has anyone seen or tried any better stuff than the green slime?

Ride-on is made for motorcycles. I believe the green slime is more for low speed equipment. http://www.ride-on.com/ Type in RidingWorkShop for a 10% discount

Hey John J , I have been using a sealant called Amer Seal on my old 81 1100 wing , my Valk and on my trailer too and no problems at all  for three years now ....  it has no shelf life time frame so it won't break down or cause the inside of the tire to rot , it looks kinda like that Elmers glue the kids use , its not fix-a-flat it has no gas at all just the sealant .... you roll the tire so that the valve stem is either at 4 o'clock or 7 o'clock take out the  valve core and slip on the plastic hose over the valve stem and squeeze the right amt for your tire ...10 oz. for the front and 12 oz. for the rear  ( motorcycle tires ) .... put the valve core back in and air up the tire .....  the worst stuff to use on a M/C tire is fix-a-flat or Slime ..... I have been stuck on the road with a flat and that ain't no fun ..... so now I carry my sm compressor , t-handle , stingy plugs and glue just in case somebody goes flat out in the boonies , and I have helped out a few poor souls .... Thanks Old Geezer Richard

Slime has some corrosive properties in it and will pit rims.

Thanks to the posts here and the link with the discount offer, I ordered Ride-On yesterday.  It shipped this morning.
I found the testimonials on their site from all the motorcyclists to be quite interesting.  I'm willing to give it a try.
I ride across a lot of VERY empty country out here in Nevada and Idaho and if this stuff saves me just one flat tire in the middle of truly NOWHERE, it will be worth it.

Thanks for the comments guys, I think I'll try Ride On now, ordered today. All I've got to do now is clean the mess off the inside of my wheels! Thanks again

Thanks to all for the recommendation for Ride-On.  I ordered a kit today.  I have always been leary when riding for a lot of years regarding the inevitable flat even tho I carry a small compressor, plugs, etc.  It is just the idea of being on the side of the road, with cars whizzing by at 50mph plus which makes for an uneasy life.  I will ride with more confidence in my tires.
