DFW 12/1 toy runs

Anyone doing the Toys for Tots, Santa Cop, the Fire N Ashes Argyle to Denton or one of the other toy runs tomorrow? I'm leaning towards Fire N Ashes, which is a new one this year
https://www.facebook.com/events/302954546483865/
as I may have to be a taxi for Karate testing early tomorrow and it is pretty close to me. For anyone looking, I think the Toys for Tots McKinney run is a really good one and have friends who won't miss the Santa Cop run. Lots to choose from.

Sadly, I dont think were going to be doing much of that this year. We have missed the big toy run for like 4-5 years running now for one reason or another. I just wanna do it once. We did the Mesquite Santa Cop run a couple years ago. That was cold, but pretty fun. People lined up to watch and some bikes though out candy. We've done the Teddy Bear run a couple times, but that has already passed. We also have helped out a local childrens home through our other club.
This weekend we're heading to Canton, and then next weekend, my daughter is coming to town for a few weeks. I'd like to take her to some of these things, but she doesn't want to even get on the bike. So between that, hunting, and other activities, were tapped out this year.

I will be a road blocker for the T4T's out of McKinney as I have been for a number of years. Will be representing our McKinney chapter of CMA (Guardians of Grace). BTW just bought my last house on FM1827 and it's on the route. You'll notice if you're observant. Hope to see more of us VRCCers in attendance.

It's just too dangerous to do these toy runs anymore. So many "once a year" people out there, wearing all their factory clothes on polished bikes with 3000 miles on them make me nervous.

No danger today. An accurate count was between 1000 and 1100 bikes. Man that does my heart good. No accidents, silliness, stupidity or fights. Wide variety from Mark's above mentioned to Christian groups to the boozefighters and scorpions. You mix kids, the Marines and a good cause, you can move mountains. I pick and choose these type of motorcycle activies wisely. This one brings together all kinds for a common good and has unmeasureable positive effects on the community and how people view bikers. It's a win-win-win.
Blessings,
Woody
