I am trying to hook up an interstate dash to a tourer, but the wires on the dash in no way match the diagram for the interstate. Am I missing something? Silver

The interstate has a completely different wiring harness than the tourer. Most of the interstate fairings I have seen on tourers used the guages on the tourer installed in the plase of the interstate stuff. I think there are some that traded out the wiring harnesses, but I can't tell you who. cooldude

also the speedo is electronic rather than mechanical so you would need the send unit from the I/S frt wheel also

I understand all of that, my question is where can I find a diagram with accurate wire colors. I have two on the interstate and one is inaccurate the other is illegible. silver

In the back of the Clymer's manual is a COLOR coded wiring diagram.  The Honda manual has a diagram, but it's in black and white.  Wasn't much use to me.

The Clymer's has been dead nut accurate with the colors of the wires on my Standard so far.
