Several of us on Valkyries from Ohio will be riding route 50 over to Front Royal at the top of the Skyline Dr. in VA on Thursday (6/18).

We have several Valkyrie Riders wanting to meet us and ride different portions of the ride.  Looking forward to seeing a few people again and hopefully someone new.  Here is all of the information and where to meet us for the different days.  Let me know if you plan on meeting us somewhere in the middle one day so we can  hook up.  For anyone starting at the beginning of the day with us, just look for the Valkyries in the parking lot.  If anyone is close to any of the motels, stop by in the evening.

We will be at the Super 8 in Front Royal, $66.50 plus tax singles or doubles same price, Thursday night.

Leaving from the Super 8 parking lot at appx. 9am Friday morning.  For anyone riding with us or wanting to ride with us, meet us at the parking lot or let me know where you will be catching us on the Skyline Dr. or Parkway.  Planning on riding down the Skyline Dr. all morning probalby having lunch at the bottom of the Skyline Dr. and riding down to Roanoke, mile 123 on the Pkwy in the afternoon.

Friday night at Quality Inn, Tanglewood (Roanoke). Rooms $70 for a King and $65 for a double.

Leaving Saturday morning from the Quality Inn Parking at appx. 9am. going south on the Pkwy.
Sat. riding down the Parkway to Fancy Gap, appx. 80 miles, then up and over a little to pick up route 219. Route 219 is a great road, up to marlinton, WV then to Elkins, WV.

Staying at the Super 8 in Elkins. on Saturday night Rate is $66.50 plus tax for singles and doubles.

We will be leaving the Super 8 parking lot at appx. 9am Sunday taking 250 up towards Oh route 7.

See you in a few days,
Lets Ride,
Rick

I was on skyline from the Southern end to hwy 33 last Thursday... bring a calendar with you - you can use
it to measure speed instead of your speedometer - they're pretty picky...

Looks like the possibility of scattered and isolated showers.
Hopefully it will only add to the experience.
See you all  in a couple of days.

I have a Garmin Zumo 550 that I pretty much use for watching my speed.  The speedometer on the Valkyrie is fairly accurate but it is easier to watch the GPS.

Pretty much have to use the GPS on my Vulcan 2000, the speedometer is over 10% off.

Below picture is from Last Years Inzane in Johnson City, we kind of got stuck in one of those isolated downpours about 45 miles south of town.  Not sure why Teresa didn't want to keep riding in it.

We got your email.
Sorry to hear about your Mother.  Good luck with getting her settled and taking care of everything.

I'm sure we will see you on another ride.

The SE Ohio Ride is out of Zanesville, OH on August 8th and we have quite a few guys and ladies with Valk's attending.
