The green ones. 11 months and 14428 miles and kaputt!!  crazy2 On my ride yesterday with hands off or light one handed pressure on handle bars she gave me a little head shake that i've felt before. Figured today what the h3ll-pulled the bags and sure enough the bolts were off center. 33240 miles since she's been mine and this is the fourth set of shock bushings. 3 sets of stockers and now replacing the V T X bushings with more V T X bushings cause i had them in my parts stash. My bad fer not getting Garys bushings when they were available. BUT i will say this-more miles out of the V T X bushings than the stock black ones. All this is just an F Y I.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

I agree the VTX 1800 bushings are the way to go. I also feel they out last the black replacements.

I ordered the poly bushing from directline---what can I expect out of them compared to the stock ones?

Why are you messing with those bushings? Give Darryl a call and for $29 get a set that will most likely last you as long as you have the bike. And he's a VRCC supporter.

I heard someplace the Daryl shock bushings will not work in progressives 440 shocks. Is this true?

Hear hear

Have had these bushings on now for about 11 000 miles or so and not a sign of wear. And no more of the side stand scraping on left hand turns.

Stock shocks though so cannot say anything on Progressive, sorry.

That's correct, the xf6 bushings are not designed for progressive shock. But I know people who use them on them.

Daryl can answer the question of whether or not his bushngs will work on progressives or not .... my memory says that they will not, but ask him.  What i will say here is this .... the bushings he makes for the stock shocks are awsome in every way:  1.) they will never wear out, and 2.)  the bike handles like it was designed to do .... when you ride, you feel like you are now part of the bike itself.  i have 30,000 miles on his bushings, and they are still brand new - BRAND NEW !!  that in itself tells me something.  CALL HIM.
