I flew to Long Beach Friday a week ago to pick up a truck and drive back to Dallas. Got stranded in Flagstaff with a bad oil pump and took a rental car out to the Grand Canyon. I took my 13yo son along for the trip and he took great fun in counting all the Valks he saw.
Total count for the trip was 17. Standards 4, Tourers 8, Interstates 5. At least six running darkside. How I was jonesin' for my Valk, stopped paying attention to how many bikes we saw after we got to 200. I never toured on a bike and have I got the fever to do it now.

I just did 2300 miles to Florida and back (to Houston) in my Odyssey, and only saw 3 Valks.
Lots of Harleys, and a few Wings...where was everybody?

Yea that is one of our local secrets, sure hope Steamer don't see this post. Sharkey you should have called I was getting all my weekend tasks done so the Spyder weekend wouldn't be interupted. Wound up with 7 Spyders for the USO run we made a weekend out of it buzzing around senic Ozark curves.
