I had breakfast at Snappy Lunch counter in Mount Airy, NC this morning and then jumped on the BRP for about a 100 miles....the first 20/30 miles was in a light rain, but then the bottom fell out and I could barely see where I was going....I was riding THROUGH the rain clouds and they kept fogging up the outside of my shield....I like riding in the rain, but that was too aggravating, so I jumped off near Wilksboro, NC and came home the fast way....I was able to ride out of the rain below Lenoir, NC and it was smooth sailing the rest of the way home...I was crossing the Georgia State Line at 3pm on the dot and was home at 4pm....the total miles was 1660 with 43.594 gals of gas being used at a total cost of $109.87(this doesn't include the first tank to get me to Cherokee on the way up)....I got an average of 38 miles to the gallon...that's GREAT for me, but that is mainly due to us riding the whole BRP up and some of the way back...had to putt along on it.....

...good thing too, or I would have had a Big Black bear as a fairing ornament!!....
I'll have a lot of pics to post later on...I really had a great time and met some new folks..Thanks to Joe and Don and Tracy for getting this ride up for us....
