Pisser, can't call in or out.

Looks like I'll have to visit the local AT&T store to see how much this will cost.

Dont know about you Doc but I am not one to go for a Iphone the data plan would require 50 a month more not willing to shell out the extra. You can call and they will send you a new phone or you can get a unlocked phone over the Internet.

Unlocked?  Izzat one w/ no AT&T logo, etc.?  Can I still use the features on my AT&T acct okay?

This is an 2 yr old Nokia flip phone, and I like the speakerphone it has, MUCH better than the wife's newer slide phone.  'sides, I'm too used to it.  Hate to give it up if it went belly up.  All the newer phones have "kitchen sink" syndrome for the techno-teenagers.

I got a Samsung Eternity last December. It's one of those touch screen phones, I can never hear it ring. I miss all kinds of phone calls but I can go online with it. I wanted an iPhone but you can't insure one and I work around water.

Doc,
Check eBay for an ATT compatible phone that is unlocked.  Buy it and take it and your old phone to a ATT store and have them activate that phone and transfer your address book into the new to you phone.  I have done that...I have Verizon.  ATT should be the same.
